This race is over a rough, tough largely pathless course with slippy uneven ground that is rocky. The weather in April is rarely ‘pleasant’ and the fells are often clagged in, making navigation difficult on a course with many pathless sections.  If you are at all unsure of your ability to complete the course safely, you should gain more experience and come back another year.

Advice and safety details for all runners is here: . It is your responsibility to be prepared and suitably knowledgable to undertake this race.

Please use FRA entry form. Cheques payable to "Helm Hill Runners" and sent with entry form to the organiser.

Organiser: Adam Perry, 17 Bainbridge Road, Sedbergh, Cumbria, LA10 5AU.

Car Parking

Please lift share where possible, as parking is limited.

There will be parking avaliable at Sedbergh School (LA10 5HG) for approximately 40 vehicles. This will be signed on the day and is a short walk from registration.

There are two public car parks in Sedbergh at:

- Joss Lane car park, at the end of Main Street. LA10 5AB

- Loftus Hill, LA10 5RX

Neither is more than a 3 minute walk so please be considerate and use these parking spaces and lift share where possible.

There is very limited parking on Howgill Lane that is to be used by marshalls. DO NOT park on the lane beyond the playing field as the streets are used by residents for parking.

Facilities on the day

There is a hall, toilets and tea/cofffee and cake will be served after the race.
