Allow plenty of time to register and to familiarise yourself with the course BEFORE joining the warm up. As this is the first race of the KWL series, registration is likely to be particularly busy. Allow plenty of time. You can download a KWL Junior's permission form from the Races page of this website, and fill it in before arriving at Scout Scar - this will save time and cut down on congestion in the Registration tent....thank you!

Ambleside sports (BOFRA), 31 July - one of our junior championship races.

This was a Helm Hill championship race for all our junior age categories. Pictured below are some of the juniors who ran in the U12s race. Many found it a taxing race and the younger ones, for whom there wasn't an U9 category, did brilliantly to keep going. More pictures are in the 2014 album on the gallery tab, and results are on the BOFRA website. Well done Helm Hill juniors!
12/13 July As is often the case, a choice of races this weekend. Josh Roelants headed to Alva games for a fast run up and down a very steephill. Others headed to Kettlewell for a tough run on a multi-terrain course - the last of the FRA junior championship races this year. Fantastic runs, including a recovery by Mia Senior from a fall part-way round, secured the title of English Junior FRA champions 2014 for Helm Hill.
WELL DONE to all juniors who have raced in the FRA championship series this year and gained points for Helm.

The race at Whitestones was cold and especially wet! Not that the conditions stopped lots of juniors turning up and putting in brilliant performances. It was the steepest race to date and with all that mud, it was not a descent for the faint hearted.
Abbie Allan, Mollie Bratt, Joe Clayton and Emelia Stevens were the first four runners to come in for Helm Hill U12's. There are so many HH juniors in this age group, you all achieved fantastic results and should be very proud of themselves!! Jacob Aubrey was 1st boy in the U14's race, well done!! Followed by Imogen Burrow, Mia Walsh, Amy Slattery and Katie Thurlow, who each ran a fantastic race. Jack Byrne was 3rd in the U17 race, Rosie Dutson and Alice Slattery also ran really well to secure some great positions. Full results are now available.
